TukuManual

Glossary

Every Tuku-specific term in one place, in plain English.

This is the dictionary. If a word in another page felt unclear, it's probably defined here.

A

Attribution. The link between a DM conversation and the comment, post, and flow that produced it. Every qualified lead attributes back to the post and keyword that started it. See Attribution.

Automation. A trigger + a flow + a public reply, wired together and turned on. The unit of "one thing the bot does."

B

Bot state. A conversation where a flow is currently running. The opposite of a Human state.

C

Condition. A flow node that branches the conversation based on a captured field or an earlier answer.

Contact. One TikTok user that has shown up in your workspace. See Contacts.

D

DM. A direct message on TikTok. Tuku sends and receives DMs through TikTok's Business Messaging API.

F

Field. A value the bot captures during a flow (e.g. shade, size, address). Stored on the contact, usable in later nodes and in segments.

Flow. The sequence of messages the bot sends after a trigger fires. Reusable across automations. See DM flows.

H

Handoff. The moment a conversation flips from bot-handled to human-handled. Happens via a Human Handoff node in a flow, or when a teammate clicks Take it. See Human handoff.

I

Inbox. The shared conversation list. Every DM your team has — bot, human, waiting, closed — lives here. See Shared inbox.

Integration. A live connection to a third-party service. For Tuku, the main integration is the TikTok Business account.

M

MAC (Monthly Active Contacts). The metric Tuku bills on. One unique TikTok user who interacts with you in a billing month — either by sending you a DM, or by commenting with a trigger keyword on a tracked post — counts as 1 MAC. See Plans & billing.

N

Node. A single step inside a flow — Send Message, Quick Reply, Wait for Reply, Capture Field, Timer, Condition, Human Handoff, and more. See Flow nodes.

P

Post. A TikTok video or Live on a connected account. Every post syncs into Tuku; see Posts.

Public reply. The short comment Tuku posts under the triggering comment so other viewers know to check their DMs.

Q

Qualified lead. A DM conversation where the buyer completed the qualifying flow — the outcome Tuku attributes back to posts, comments, and keywords. See Attribution.

Quick replies. Up to four tappable buttons inside a flow. Lets you ask a question with a constrained answer.

R

Role. The permission level of a teammate inside a workspace. There's an Owner (the creator) plus five assignable roles: Administrator, Manager, Agent, Billing Manager, and Viewer. See Team members.

T

Tag. A label you (or the bot) attach to a contact or conversation. vip, shade-fair, refund-pending. The foundation for segments and analytics.

Template. A pre-built automation in the template library that you can clone and customise. See Templates.

Throttle. Tuku fires at most one DM per (user × trigger) every 24 hours. Prevents PRICE PRICE PRICE from sending three DMs.

Time-to-qualify. How long between the triggering comment and the buyer completing the flow. A health metric for your flow.

Trigger. The rule that decides when an automation fires. Keyword on comment, keyword on DM, any comment, etc. See Comment triggers.

V

Version. Each flow has a draft you edit and a published version that runs. Publishing swaps your draft changes into the live flow.

W

Workspace. The container for one brand's automations, contacts, inbox, and billing. See Workspace setup.
