Knowledge Base

Upload your FAQs, product details, and policies so Tuku's AI can answer buyers from them.

The Knowledge Base is where you upload the documents the AI answers from — your FAQs, product specs, shipping and return policies, price lists, anything a buyer might ask about. Each document is processed once and then attached to one or more experts.

Open it from the sidebar under AI → Knowledge.

AI is a Pro feature. The Knowledge Base is available on Pro plans — not on the Free plan or the $49 beta lifetime founding offer, which see an upgrade notice instead. See Plans & pricing.

Uploading a document

  1. Go to AI → Knowledge and click Upload document (or drag a file onto the page).
  2. The file uploads, then Tuku processes it: it's converted to text, split into chunks, and indexed so the AI can search it.
  3. When the status reads Indexed, it's ready to attach to an expert.

Supported files

  • PDF, Word, plain text, Markdown, CSV, or HTML.
  • Up to 20 MB per file.

Anything else is rejected with an "unsupported file type" message.

Document status

Each document shows where it is in processing:

StatusMeaning
PendingUploaded, waiting to be processed.
ProcessingBeing converted, chunked, and indexed.
IndexedReady — the AI can answer from it.
FailedSomething went wrong. Re-index to try again.

If processing fails or you've edited the underlying content, use Re-index to rebuild it. (Indexing is rate-limited, so back-to-back re-indexes may ask you to wait about 30 seconds.)

Attaching knowledge to an expert

Knowledge only does something once it's attached to an expert. You can attach documents two ways:

  • From the expert — open it, click Add knowledge, and pick from your library or upload on the spot.
  • A document can be attached to several experts at once.

Deleting

Deleting a document removes it from the Knowledge Base and from the AI's reach — any expert that used it stops answering from it. The expert itself is unaffected.

Writing good knowledge matters more than the model. Keep documents focused (one topic each), write answers the way you'd actually reply to a buyer, and keep prices and policies up to date — re-index when they change.
